The Grand Opening of Art for Animals will be held on Saturday May 4th from 5-7pm and promises to be a lively event! The zoo stated “because every person has the power to create meaningful change” resonated strongly with Cheryl. Now you too can make a difference for the animals of the world and come out with a beautiful piece of Seattle history in the form of art. For more information, click here.
“MR. CHARMING” 16x16 beautifully framed original oil painting by Cheryl King will be raffled at the end of May with all proceeds going to Woodland Park Zoo’s “Forests For All” campaign. Have you ever wanted to sell your art, but get hung up when a gallery asks you for an artist’s bio or statement? Not sure what your personal brand is? Do you want to promote yourself, but aren’t sure how?
In this one-day class, you’ll learn the big picture basics of marketing yourself as an artist and learn how to put yourself and your art “out there.” Whether you’ve already sold a few pieces, or you’re thinking about starting, this class will help you on your path to being known.
This class is part workshop, part lecture, and very hands-on. You will be encouraged to talk about your personal art, your story, and bring select samples (photos) of your work to show the class.
Saturday, May 11th, 12:00 - 3:00 PM,

Learn how to create unique monotypes without a printing press using a gel plate for printmaking and botanical materials. In this class, we'll use an 8" x 10" gel plate with acrylic paint and natural elements, such as leaves, grasses, and flowers. We'll work to create prints that can stand on their own, but participants will leave with a pile of gel-printed papers that can be used for collages, cards, art journals, or other mixed media projects.
To register, please visit the Art Classes Page.
Red Sky Gallery offers a variety of hands-on, creative classes such as Figure Study, Paint & Sip, Creative Collage, Graphic Novels and Comics, Eco Printing, and Youth. All are hosted and taught by accomplished and award-winning Artists. To register, visit the Classes Page.

We understand the amount of time, effort and heart that goes into your art! We wish we had space to show the work of more artists.
Please browse through our website and get a feel for what we are showing and, if you think your style would be a good fit, we would be happy to take a look at your work.
To be considered you must submit six images via email. Each image must include the title, media, dimensions in inches and price. We accept submissions by email only. Please do not pop by the gallery to show us your art. We will be busy taking care of customers.
